Varicose Veins/ Spider Veins

Do you have visibly enlarged veins in your legs? You are not alone. More than 80 million Americans suffer from some form of venous disease. Beyond their cosmetically displeasing appearance, varicosed veins and spider veins can lead to disabling symptoms including pain, fatigue, heaviness, itching, burning, swelling and restless legs. Left untreated, they can result in skin changes such as dark discoloration, skin thickening and ulcerations.

Most of the time these issues arise from non-functioning valves within the vessels causing blood to pool in them. These incompetent valves are unable to repair themselves and are likely to worsen over time.

At EPAVI we can make a diagnosis fairly easily with a combination of physical examination and noninvasive duplex ultrasounds.
